Ray Energy Introduces Ethanol-Free Premium Gasoline

TROY, NY (October 22, 2013) – Ray Energy Corp. has introduced 91 Octane Ethanol-Free Premium Gasoline – a new product available at locally owned and operated PitStop service stations throughout the greater Capital Region.

“Many gas-powered engines, including classic cars, motorcycles, outdoor power equipment, snowblowers, snowmobiles and others, can experience adverse issues from ethanol-blended (E10) fuel, “ said Ray Energy Corp.’s President Kenneth J.  Ray.

“Ethanol-free gasoline is particularly effective for small engines that are used periodically or for those consumers who need to store gasoline for extended periods of time, as it does not separate or cause corrosion,” Mr. Ray said.

Phase separation,” Mr. Ray explained, “occurs when the ethanol in the fuel absorbs enough water to separate from the gas. This water/ethanol mix will not burn resulting in decreased fuel efficiency, engine problems, and lower performance.”

The chemical properties of ethanol are destructive to rubber, fiberglass, and other composite parts of the fuel system and engine. This may result in carburetor damage, clogging or plugging of fuel injectors, and failure to start.

The benefits of PitStop Ethanol-Free Gasoline include:

  • Increased Fuel Efficiency (MPG)
  • Improved Performance
  • Extended Engine Life
  • Optimum Horsepower

PitStop Ethanol-Free Premium Gasoline is available at most PitStop locations. Visit rayenergy.com to find the station nearest you.
