Putting Education into Action: Ray Energy and Regional Partners Advance Safety and Emergency Preparedness
HAMPTON, NY — June, 2026 — Ray Energy is proud to have recently hosted a comprehensive collaborative Safety Day at our state-of-the-art Hampton Terminal. The proactive training event brought together Ray Energy personnel, regional first responders, and critical transportation partners to walk through real-world incident scenarios, ensuring a coordinated and effective response in the event of an emergency.
The hands-on event featured collaborative cross-training stations designed to familiarize attendees with the facility's specialized infrastructure and vehicles. Participants engaged in detailed walkthroughs of a Ray Energy propane transport vehicle, a Lake Champlain Coal bobtail, and a Vermont Rail locomotive, where they reviewed essential rail safety protocols.

Led by instructors Mike White and Glenn Myers of Ray Energy, the training session was grounded in strict compliance with Ray Energy’s Emergency Response Action Plan, Risk Management Plan, and HazMat Security Plan, as well as the industry-standard Propane Emergencies Handbook.

The event saw strong regional attendance, including personnel from Hampton Fire Co., Middle Granville Fire Dept., Whitehall Volunteer Fire Co., and Poultney Fire Dept., alongside industrial partners Lake Champlain Coal and Vermont Rail.
